Rhubarb Dump Cake

Our oldest son returned from a week away at a relative's dairy farm, one of his favourite places.

He came home with a huge bunch of rhubarb and a recipe for Rhubarb Dump Cake. It was served to him while he was away and he was pretty excited about trying the recipe. Kyle washed and chopped the rhubarb and stored lots in the freezer. He prepared the cake himself too. The smell of it baking was awesome, and it tastes delicious! I may have to 'borrow' some of his rhubarb and try a strawberry rhubarb crisp (where I don't use as much sugar.) Have you tried Rhubarb Dump Cake before? Here's a link to the same recipe.

I'm sharing this at the following parties....

  6. I love the dump cake recipe, a friend shared it with me years ago and I used to sign up for treats at school when the rhubarb was in season. It was always a huge hit with everyone.

  7. Wow! I'm impressed that your son did all of that himself. He sounds like he is a very mature young man. I've never even tried rhubarb! I have no idea how it tastes and have never heard of it being used in a cake. I'll take your word for it that is good. I'll have to look up the recipe to see what all is in it.
