Simple Vintage Mason Jars and Fresh Flowers

Simple vintage mason jars filled with fresh flowers are a great pick me up for these early spring days.

I love the soft pink and coral of these roses and gerbera daisies. I added the flowers to vintage canning jars for a tablescape in our kitchen with ironstone plates, a vintage kitchen scale and some of my collected linens and doilies.

The grass is just beginning to green in our area, and tulips are just starting to poke out of the soil.

Our days are still on the cool side (with night temps dipping around zero) and this week we are having a mixture of sun and lots of rain.

But I know that spring and some warmth are just around the corner.

This little arrangement may not be a big project checked off my list, but it sure adds a bit of cheeriness to our kitchen on this rainy afternoon. We are expecting an rain/freezing rain/ice storm on Thursday so if you are in the path stay safe and stay warm.

  14. Mason jars and gerbera daisies say SPRING, and yours definitely brightened my day.

Love the color blue and definitely love blue skies (lots of them in Texas); so of course, I love your blog title.
