John Deere Pink and Roses

You might be wondering what John Deere and roses have in common?
Well, in this case the John Deere and roses are both pink and I thought they looked cute together for this child's chef apron. John Deere logo in brown on pink and white stripes on the neckband and the front side....
and big pink roses on the waist ties and the other side.
I sewed this one for a cute little 2 1/2 year old who loves her family's Holstein cows and lives on a farm.
I love that it is fully reversible.
Hopefully the little girl will love it too, even if it is not John Deere green.
I will be making more of these apron's soon. Sewing is a great way for me to unwind in the evening after a stressful day at work.
We have one more Dairy show at a Fair this Friday night (Thanksgiving Weekend here in Ontario, Canada) and that just about wraps up the season, except for the big Royal Winter Fair in November. Wishing you a great weekend and a Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends.

I will be sharing this with...

  1. I love that!! Where in the world do you get John Deere fabric? Kennedy would love something made out of that. Everytime a tractor goes by she yells "TRACTOR!!" and runs to the window.... which is like every 5 minutes... for the last year and half or so now. :)

  5. That is so dang cute. I have a friend with a little girl and a bunch of boys on a small farm type place. Her dad buys her pink camo to wear - this is perfect for little cowgirls.

  6. Elizabeth! I love that you paired it with the rose fabric! I have some of that exact JD fabric sitting in my sewing cupboard...and now I have all kinds of crazy thoughts in my mind.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  8. I love the apron - so cute with the John Deere on a pink background. I love that balance between girly pink and flowers and a tough guy tractor manufacturer's label.

  9. Your apron is so darned cute, what an adorable combo with the roses and John Deere tractors.
I saw an apron and some women's shirts made with that fabric one time at a John Deere store in Davenport, IOwa I was staying at a motel next to it while hubs went up to Halifax, CN I had gotten a terrible stomach flu so had to stay behind while hubs went to CN. Was kinda nice actually staying at the motel all week, even took the bus to a mall in Davenport for something to do. Watched alot of tv and ate the great breakfasts motel provided.
