Love Me Lavender and Bathroom Progress

Today a package was delivered to our door by courier. I recently won my choice of nbw Body Butter from Crafty Gardener's blog.

nbw natural organic beauty sent me Love Me Lavender Body Butter. The best part, besides the light and wonderful scent is that all nbw products are made from plant based and organic ingredients, and are free from petroleum, parabens and synthetic fragrances.  Thanks, Crafty Gardener!

After painting two of our bathroom ceilings yesterday, my hands and arms are really enjoying this body butter. When our home was built thirteen years ago, the walls were white and so were the bathroom ceilings. Silly me decided one summer to attempt to paint clouds on the main bathroom ceiling. I can paint furniture and walls, but I would never make a living painting murals. My clouds looked like cotton balls.  My artist colleague offered to help give them some definition back then, but by then I was thoroughly sick of the look. Now years later, I finally got around to painting the ceiling a nice fresh white after my teen son lightly sanded the cotton balls ceiling.

There is lots left to do, like painting the walls, changing the light fixture and trimming the large mirror, but already it looks so much better than this. The second ceiling I mentioned painting is in our powder room, and I will most likely paint both bathrooms the same colour. I'm thinking a nice light grey. I'm off to the hospital for the second kidney surgery tomorrow, so this project will continue when I am home and rested. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Ah yes. I have done things like that too. In my youngest sons room, I stenciled stars on the ceiling of his nursery. Of course, just a few years later that had to be painted over. Such a hassle to paint a ceiling! Good luck on your surgery. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

  8. Hi Elizabeth~

I can't wait to see how your bathroom looks when you've finished! Your ideas for it sound wonderful, and I know it will be beautiful! :) And I hear you on painting ceilings, they are not fun to paint! :) I'm praying that your surgery goes well, and that you recover quickly! :)

    Blessings,
