Flowers in the Entry

These flowers are really brightening up a windy and wet weekend.

Our snow has melted (hopefully we have seen the last of it but that is not for certain) and we have had more rain, which makes for muddy and soggy grass and gardens. But oh how I long for warmer and drier late spring weather to tidy the gardens and plant some bright colours. Here in southern Ontario we are lucky if we can do some light gardening in late April, but the majority and planting has to wait until late May. So for today I will enjoy these cut flowers in our entry and work on some indoor spring cleaning.

Wishing you all a pleasant weekend and thanks for stopping by! Have you seen any signs of Spring in your area?

  1. I love having flowers around the house, it makes for a cheerful setting. It is warm but rainy here! Since I live in the South, azaleas are blooming, tea olive and roses so far....Perhaps more since weather is very warm down here.

  2. Well...not at the moment, Elizabeth. After having thunder and rain yesterday, it's snowing and windy out today. Typical Michigan weather. You never know what it's going to do next. lol! Having flowers in your house truly helps get you through the cold winter days though, doesn't it? :) Good luck on your guest room, too! Looking forward to seeing the reveal!

  4. Isn't it amazing how some flowers can spiff up any area. I read once that if you have fresh towels in the powder room and an arrangement of fresh flowers, everyone will think you just cleaned.

  6. Those are such pretty flowers. We do have a few early flowers trying to pop up here. Many trees and shrubs are budding out already.

Thanks for sharing the touch of spring!

    Blessings,
