Welcome Autumn!

Welcome  Autumn!
A black frame updated the Autumn cross-stitch I use in the front entry each fall. The green denim fabric was replaced with a simple black 8" x 10" frame. I used a thin piece of quilt batting behind the stitching to give it some softness. I'm still practicing with my new Nikon D3000 so sorry about the shadows. It is tough to take a picture in our small front entry on a rainy day.

These are the things I love about Autumn...
*fall decor * pumpkins * pumpkin pie * apple pie * sweaters and hoodies * jeans and boots *
 * colourful leaves * cooler temps * fall fairs * crisp fall mornings * hot chocolate and tea *
* fall in Ontario * cozy throws and quilts * denim jackets * scarves * the smell of wood fires *
* chili, soups and stews * warm muffins * Thanksgiving * craft shows *
I hope you have a wonderful first day of Fall.

  1. Now you've gone & made me hungry for chili soup stew and muffins! Isn't autumn amazing? I think with us being up in the tundra we adore it more because we know what is to come - ugh - winter

  2. Beautiful post, Elizabeth. Fall is my favorite season of all. The leaves are starting to change here in New York and I'm anxious to get out there with my camera...in my jeans and boots. Thank you for sharing.

  3. I love the photos you posted and your list of fall favourites. I will have to add eating pumpkin pie to my October favourites list - thanks for the reminder.

  4. Happy Fall Elizabeth! I love your fall cross stitch, what a perfect piece for fall.

I hear your pain about the camera struggles. I tried to capture the full moon last night over the pine trees. Nothing but frustration I'm afraid. : ) Let me know when you're ready to take Part 2 of the Henry's course. We could do it together!

I really LOVE getting comments and read each one. They truly make me smile! If you have a question I will email you. Due to a huge increase in spam comments I have enabled comment moderation but I will post all friendly comments. Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!
